THERMASGARD® RPTF 2PENDULUM ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR (GLOBE THERMOMETER) THERMASGARD® RPTF 2 The THERMASGARD® RPTF 2 resistance thermometre with passive output is specifically used for temperature detection in larger rooms or halls, for example as a dark radiation sensor. In combination with the positioning of the pendulum sensor in the room and the unform flow of ambient air around the sensor, the measuring method employed by the device delivers excellent measuring results representative of the room. The globe temperature is determined in order to take heat radiation into consideration and to estimate the degree of thermal comfort (operative room temperature). The operative room temperature describes the co-action of heat radiation and heat convection (the globe/air temperature ratio is approx. 70% to 30%).
